THE TROUBLE WITH WOLVES
Death threats, court battles, and an iconic endangered species in middle. The Trouble With Wolves takes an up close look at the most heated and controversial wildlife conservation debate of our time.
A feature documentary examining the social and political divide around America’s most infamous apex predator.
Once exterminated from the lower 48 states, wolves have made a triumphant return to Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. Hailed as, ‘the greatest animal conservation success in human history,’ to many others living in the areas affected, the story is dramatically different. There is a reason wolves have been, and continue to be, the world’s most controversial predator. But do they deserve a place in America?

"We believe that this film, which includes interviews with ranchers, wildlife biologists, state wolf management, and Yellowstone Wolf Restoration leaders, presents the most balanced, respectful film to date about coexistence."

"The filmmakers did a great job of making every voice count, from the conservationists to the ranchers. After watching this documentary, I could feel empathy for everyone involved. I think the point I took away from it is we all just need to learn to co-exist. Nature and humans, conservatives and liberals. Kudos to the filmmakers for not having a one-sided bent to the issue and for giving all sides a voice."

"A very balanced discussion of a complex subject. This fairminded approach, more interested in a frank conversation in the light of a complicated issue than in pushing an agenda, is admirable and should be a lesson in documentary film making."

"One of the rare documentaries that transcends its own subject."
